SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
 
Central Arizona Section of the International Automation Society (CENAZ-ISA) is sponsoring $1000 scholarships for fulltime undergraduate students that will graduate with an Engineering, Computer, or Technical Degree. Graduate school students will also be considered and in a broader range of study. The scholarship funds will be paid into the student’s school account.
 
CENAZ-ISA Section will also pay for the student’s ISA membership fee until the student graduates.
 
Qualifying Criteria:
·       Student must attend a University with an Engineering College or a Graduate School.
·       Student must attend a Technical College or School such as DeVry.
·       Student must be sponsored by a member of ISA, IEEE, or other technical society.
·       Call, if you need a sponsor, and a sponsor will be assigned to the student.
 
Schedule:
·       Applications are due by March 15.
·       Winner will be notified by April 15.

·       Apply using email with scanned attachments or letter with attachments::
Ø     Student’s name and Sponsor’s name
Ø     Home address and telephone number
Ø     School’s name, address, and telephone number
Ø     E-mail address
Ø     Date of birth
Ø     Copies of High School or College Transcripts
Ø     School, social, athletic, community activities
Ø     Statement of Career Goals, Technical Interest, and Experiments
·       Engineering or Technical Major such as in the following disciplines:
Ø     Chemical, Control System, Electrical, Industrial, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Project Management, Construction Management, Master of Business Administration, etc.
 
Judging:
·       Objective and Subjective point system for information supplied.

In December 2010, I will graduate from Arizona State University with an undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. Currently, I am working on my senior capstone project. I am working with a group of undergraduate engineers who are building an automated physical therapy platform for a human leg. My group’s objective is to build a proof of concept for a physical therapy platform that does seven independent movements.
